A magnificent, very hardy, evergreen tree or shrub of conical habit. Very large, fragrant, creamy white cup shaped flowers up to 25cm across, are produced throughout the summer and early autumn. Large, leathery leaves, glossy green above, are often reddish brown beneath. An ideal evergreen screening tree. Plant in a good depth of moist, well drained soil full sun or partial shade in a sheltered position or against a south, west or east facing wall. Hardiness rating H5.
