Double white flowering cherry - Double Gean - A spreading, deciduous tree growing up to 12m in height, with dark green leaves up to 15cm long, opening bronze, turning dark green in summer and then red and yellow in autumn. Masses of large, pure white double flowers in pendulous clusters are produced in mid-spring. One of the loveliest of all flowering trees. Plant in all types of moist well drained soil, in full sun. Hardiness rating H6.
