Japanese maple: A medium sized deciduous large shrub or small tree. The bright, lime green cut leaves emerge in spring, turning to mid green during summer, sometimes with a red tinge, and then turn gold and red in the autumn. This is the only upright Japanese Maple with cut leaves, making a striking vase shape rather than the usual weeping or domed forms growing up to 4 meters in 20 years. Plant in moist, well drained acid or neutral soil in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H6.
